After almost 40 years since its foundation, BRD has managed to grow and develop into a company able to successfully integrate industrial, financial or service projects.
BRD has transformed and adapted itself throughout its history by manufacturing diverse products, detecting and developing new markets as well as industrial and service business, both in the private and public sector, providing solutions to individuals, companies and governments.
Due to its broad capacity, BRD has become an active company in the development of diverse business and projects always keeping abreast of the times.
BRD designed and manufactured the first electronic tachometer in South America, supplied Argentine automotive terminals with dashboards and instruments, manufactured all kinds of dashboards for tractors, combine harvesters and sprayers.
BRD has become the main supplier in the nautical industry. It also manufactured instruments for locomotives and heavy industrial machinery.
In the 80's, BRD installs a parking system controlled by parking metersin the city of Buenos Aires, thus becoming the first private operator in South America to provide this service in the public thoroughfare.
It moves its industrial plant to a new 4500 m2 building, increasing its production and development capacity.
It installs the controlled parking system in the city of Neuquén, province of Neuquén, Argentina; creating SEN for this purpose.
In the 90's, BRD consolidates itself as a business integrator and operator.
BRD develops and installs the traffic and parking control system in the downtown area of the city of Buenos Aires. For that reason, it creates SEC, an ad hoc division, consisting of immobilizers, tow trucks, parking meters, ticket machines and the highest technology in systems and communications. SEC integrated parking in the public thoroughfare and a wide network of ground level parking lots.
The success of SEC's system in traffic control provided the basis for all traffic regulation services introduced in the Argentine cities of Bahía Blanca, Bariloche, San Juan, Mendoza, Córdoba, Neuquén, towns of the province of Buenos Aires and in the rest of the country; including the city of Montevideo, capital of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
In 1990, BRD goes into partnership with Ingeniería Tauro de Argentina and SGS Argentina, forming SACTA S.A. winning the tender for the technical inspection of commercial vehicles registered in the city of Buenos Aires.
In 1993, BRD goes into partnership with SGS Uruguay Ltda., forming SUCTA S.A., the company that won the public tender for the technical inspection of buses and cargo vehicles in the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
In 1993, BRD develops and manufactures MONEBUS, a ticket collection and dispensing system for the collective locomotion of passengers within urban areas. Being a unique system in the world, it fulfils the main purpose of ordering and speeding up ticket collection.
In 1994, BRD goes into partnership with Ingeniería Tauro de Argentina and SGS Argentina forming ITEVECO S.A. winner of one zone of the tender for the technical inspection of all registered vehicles in the Municipality of Córdoba.

In 1996, BRD forms a joint venture with Transportes 9 de Julio, winning the tender for the concession of the Metered Parking and Parking Violation Control Service in the city of Santa Fe, executed through SES's division.
In 1998, BRD goes into partnership with Sadia S.A., winning the tender for contracting and providing both the Metered Parking System and Parking Control public services in the city of San Juan, province of San Juan, Argentina; creating SEO for this purpose.
In 2002, BRD’s parking division, SEC, makes a heavy investment in the city of Buenos Aires in order to renew its fleet, and continues providing a high quality service in agreement with the steady growth in the number of vehicles of this big city. The technical renewal of the equipment -basically its tow truck fleet- resulted in an excellent opportunity to launch the redesign of the logo and renew its corporate image. |
